I want to connect my desktop and laptop computers so I can transfer files between them. Is there a simple way to do this?
Edit: Both computers are on the internet, the desktop via a hub (connect to a seperate computer - not one of mine) and the laptop via wireless internet. I think it's be easiest to transfer files with a p2p program; I currently use SoulSeek - is there a (free) one that's better?

My printer is wired to my desktop computer. I have a wireless router attached to it. I use my laptop in other parts of the house. In order to print a document from my laptop the two must share information. How do you make the computers share.

I've decided I need a laptop computer, unfortunately I am technologically challenged. (I want something preferably from IBM, Compaq or Apple. I am not too comfortable buying from brands I'm unfamilar with) What does GHz mean, what models are generally recent and reliable? Thanks for your help and input!

I just recently bought the UTStarcom UM150 from Alltel and have been using it on my laptop computer. My son now has my old laptop and I would like to be able to share the modem with him without having to disconnect the UM150 from my computer (I do not have a desktop computer hooked up through a modem). Can anyone give me some ideas?
